Pier

170 years ago, on Whit Monday, 1881, Skegness Pier, the finest in England, was opened for the first time. Described as stretching far into the German Ocean, it was 1843 feet long, 25ft. wide, and was to become the fourth longest Pier in England.

I have visited many Piers around the coast, Blackpool has them, Western Super Mare has them.

Piers are an additional attraction on the beaches, some of them just have seats, while others have fairgrounds and stalls.
