Finding a beach, Satellite Navigation (Sat Nav)
 If there
is one bit of technology that helps in locating beaches, it has to be the
satellite navigation unit. Go are the days where you needed to study a map,
or even try to work out the distance, travelling time, time of arrival. Well
the Sat Nav does all this and more. Don't be disappointed
with a cheap one, if your going to visit beaches around the globe, then
invest in the best, and the best has to be the TomTom Go, and the new model
TomTom 720 is packed with features. When ever I arrive at
the beach, I drive around a bit to find a good place to park, then store
this in the Sat Nav, then the next time I want to visit, it will take me to
the exact spot as I visited before. Planning a journey to
the beach is so simple, just enter the post code, or city, or even select it
on the map, and away you go. The unit will tell you the distance from where
you are at the start of the journey, how many miles, how long it will take
and much more. You can also play MP3 music from it, and have a slide show of
pictures. Extra "Free" downloads from the internet are also
available, for example POI's (Points of interest) perhaps you want the
locations of ever Tesco store, or petrol stations, or castles, there is no
limit. Once installed you can plan a jury to any of them.
They also come with speed camera warnings too !. Visiting a beach has never
