The sea lettuces, a group of edible green algae widely found along the
coasts of the world's oceans.
This seaweed has a rather ‘crumpled’ appearance and is reminiscent of a
lettuce leaf, hence the common name.
Sea lettuce grows on gravel and rocky bottoms. It can found on the shore and
in rock pools high up .
