Eye Protection

Sun glasses are not just for show, a good pair will help protect your eyes, while a cheap pair may look good, but wont give any protection at all.

Don't get put of when you see the designer sunglasses at the duty free costing a lot of money, you can buy a good quality pair of sunglasses for a few pounds. Forget about looks, and don't spend a fortune, they will probably get scratched if you just throw them about anyway.

You want to buy a good solid pair of sunglasses that fit well and completely covers your eyes. There are UV protection ratings for them too, ranging from ;

  • Category 3: 8% - 18% visible light transmitted.
  • Category 4: 3% - 8% visible light transmitted. (illegal for use in a car)

Buy a Nylon pair (Not plastic) and ones that are bendy, with lenses that are polycarbonate. Also make sure you have a good well protected case to store them in. Also invest in a good cleaning cloth, some anti fogging solution.
